Maggie Hardy Magerko, President and Owner

Maggie Hardy Magerko, appointed President of 84 Lumber Company in 1992, is responsible for day-to-day operations for the company her father, Joe Hardy III, founded in 1956 in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania. Maggie began training for this position when she was just five years-old, making regular appearances at the corporate headquarters, accompanying her father on site inspections of new properties and attending store visits. In her early twenties, Maggie went to work at the Bridgeville, Pennsylvania store to expand her knowledge of the daily store operations.

Maggie’s energetic approach and vision have been critical success factors as 84 Lumber and the building industry have been through unprecedented times over the past three years. Maggie has made a number of strategic moves to keep the company positioned for growth as the housing market and overall economy recover.

In addition to her duties as President of 84 Lumber Company, Maggie also serves as Owner and President of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.
