84 Lumber’s Diversity Steering Committee
Focus: The committee will develop the understanding of diversity and its
positive impact as we move towards becoming an organization that will
thrive on its unique and diverse background.

“Our Diversity
Steering Committee will work closely together to promote the
understanding of business issues within the context of diversity
through leadership and education. Our committee will provide all
employees a voice within the organization.” |
The Diversity Council is composed of a Chairperson: Frank Cicero – Executive
Vice President of Operations, 84 Lumber employees at different levels of the
organization, as well as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, who guides
the organization’s corporate-wide diversity effort. The council is
responsible for analyzing the recommendations, yearly course of action, as
well as implementing measurable progress towards 84 Lumber’s corporate
strategic plan to become more inclusive.
On Friday August 24, 2007 the Diversity Steering Committee met to give
84 Lumber President Maggie Hardy-Magerko, along with Executive Vice
President and Diversity Chair Frank Cicero, a mid-year report
highlighting milestones reached in our effort to align the Diversity

Diversity Director also gave everyone an
update on end of year goal as well
as a preview of what is to come for 2008. The meeting ended with Maggie’s
continued support and commitment to our diversity and inclusion goals as
well as reinforcing her zero tolerance to behaviors that go against them.
