For 10 years, 84 Lumber honors Military Appreciation Month in May, partnering with organizations to provide support and resources to veterans in the communities we serve.
84 Lumber associates who are veterans or active-duty members are given an extra paid day off to use on a veteran-related holiday, such as Veteran’s Day or Memorial Day, each year. Each associate nationwide is also given a custom Operation Appreciation t-shirt.
In addition to the month-long promotions and partnerships, 84 Lumber honors veterans year-round through a 10% discount for all military personnel and first responders at all locations. The company also has combat-wounded purple parking spots at every store across the country.
Organizations we’ve supported and partnered with
In 2019, 84 Lumber entered into an ongoing partnership with the Fisher House Foundation, a nonprofit that provides a free “home away from home” for families of veterans who are receiving medical care.
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.
These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world.
